With Atari Centipede, the 80’s shooter arcade game is back! It was one of the most successful games from the golden age of arcade video games! Are you ready for a time travel to the late 80s? Then let’s jump in the game and see if you can survive or not! Have fun!
Centipede is one of the oldest games of Atari! It is a fixed shooter arcade game where you have to fight off centipedes, spiders, scorpions, and fleas using your bug blaster. Your objective in this game is to survive as long as possible. You can use the touchpad, mouse, or keyboard arrows to move your shooter. The bug blaster will fire small darts at the segmented centipede and this centipede consists of 10 to 12 body parts. When you shoot them, each segment becomes a mushroom. And each piece continues independently on its way down to you. If you shoot its head only the centipede is destroyed. So, move the bug blaster to shoot darts at the centipede, it will split in two if you shoot it down the middle. Once the centipede reaches the bottom of the screen, it moves back and forth within your area and one-segment “head” centipedes will periodically appear from the side. Don’t forget about the insects! They can hurt bug blaster, but also give you the opportunity to earn more points. Have fun playing!
